If you are good in your fields, you will have a better position in the company and a better income. Some junior developer may have the same skills as senior in big companies. Everyone who is involved in the project can make comments and say they don’t agree with the proposition. There is no process as there is in bigger companies so the project is done quicker. Developers will work with colleagues who have more skills and they will share their knowledges.
